The evening will feature the return of a fan-favorite , violinist Francisco Fullana, performing Astor Piazolla's Cuatro estaciones portenas. Also on the program is Dvořák's In Nature's Realm, Takashi Yoshimatsu's And Birds Are Still..., and Claude Debussy's La Mer.
Dear BATS Members,
We are thrilled to kick off the 113th season of your Austin Symphony Orchestra, marking the 24th year of the Austin Symphony BATS.
This season, our guiding principle is "Dare to Discover," promising an exhilarating journey ahead. Throughout this year, we will pay homage to the legendary American composer George Gershwin and warmly welcome back our local pianist, Anton Nel, as we celebrate the enduring connection between the United States and the United Kingdom. Our lineup will also showcase the exceptional talents of trumpeter Mary Elizabeth Bowden and violin virtuoso Francisco Fullana. Additionally, we have curated enlightening educational events for our members throughout the season.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support of the ASO and BATS. We eagerly anticipate your presence for another exceptional year of performances by our distinguished Austin Symphony, where, hopefully, each of us will uncover something new about ourselves.
